We are delighted to share that Postmedia Place made the shortlist for most respected environmental building in the world. Managed by Greenrock Commercial Services, Postmedia Place was selected as one of the top five finalists for the International TOBY Earth Award at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International Conference Expo in Nashville on June 28th, 2022.

Postmedia Place has undergone multiple transformations in the past decade as part of a larger repositioning plan in partnership with Shiplake to improve the property’s environmental footprint and revitalize the look and feel of the space. Some improvements include a LED lighting retrofit, upgraded heating and cooling, renovated washrooms, and modernized elevators.
The TOBY Awards are the highest recognition for honoring excellence in building management and operations in the commercial real estate industry. To win an international TOBY Award, a property must first win both local and regional competitions. Postmedia Place won the National and Toronto BOMA Earth Awards last year after achieving a BOMA BEST Platinum Certification score of 96.1%, the highest in the GTA’s 250,000 – 499,999 ft2 office category.
As part of the application process for the International TOBY Earth Award, Postmedia Place was required to complete a rigorous application process detailing numerous topics relating to environmental impact, such as indoor air quality/green cleaning, recycling, and energy conservation.
In addition to the BOMA BEST Platinum Certification, Postmedia Place proudly holds a BOMA 360 Performance Building designation and ENERGY STAR certification.
